ANNOUNCEMENT FOR REGISTRATION FOR SHORT AND LONG DISTANCE MAIZE TRANSPORTATION.

A. SHORT DISTANCE

In its quest to move maize quickly from satellite depots to main holding depots, the Food Reserve Agency, (FRA) wishes to announce the extension of the Registration of Transporters for Short Distance Maize Movement (Mop up Exercise).

The FRA is inviting applications from transporters with FOUR WHEEL DRIVEN TIPPERS/TRUCKS or any other type of truck to participate in this exercise.

Application forms for registration may be obtained from the Food Reserve Agency, Plot No. 7419, Manda Road, Industrial Area, Lusaka or from our Regional Offices across the country, upon payment of a non refundable fee of K150, 000.00

The registration form can also be accessed and downloaded from the Agency website: www.fra.org.zm

Applications must be clearly marked ‘REGISTRATION OF SHORT DISTANCE TRANSPORTERS FOR 2012/2013’ and deposited in the tender box in the main reception area at Plot No. 7419, Manda Road, Industrial Area, P. O. Box 34054, Lusaka or with any of the regional offices listed below.

B. LONG DISTANCE

Further we wish to advise all transporters who participated in the Long Distance Transportation of Grain Stocks Tender that the results of the tender are now out and transporters can check for results with the Procurement Unit at FRA head Office.
